Bangkok is the capital city and the major hub for connecting travelers from all around the globe to the incredible places of Thailand. This bustling city has numerous destinations to explore. Wat Pho is the oldest temple in Bangkok which is known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. You will be filled with astonishment to watch the 46-meter long statue of the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. Feast your eyes with the statue of Emerald Buddha at Grand Palace. Stroll around the nearby markets full of boutiques, restaurants, cafes, clubs, and bars. Taste the local dishes.
Tourists never leave Thailand without visiting its beaches. Pattaya lying at a driving distance of almost 2 hours from Bangkok is a city with the finest beaches. Its Coral Island also known as Koh Lan is the popular hotspot for adventurous water activities. Enjoy Thai or Indian lunch at one of its restaurants.
To enjoy the mountains of Thailand, Chiang Mai is an idyllic city nestled in the Northern part of the country. Trekking can be best done here. Chiang Mai is famous for its 600 year old temple Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Sitting at the top of a mountain, one can view the entire city of Chiang Mai from this temple.
Thailand is a paradise-like destination with mixed culture and warm hospitality that will leave you spellbound.
Package Exclusions
FAQs - Chiang Mai Island Tour
When you fly from Chiang Mai (CNX) to Phuket (HKT), you will take your luggage with you. The domestic airlines (like AirAsia, Thai Vietjet, or Bangkok Airways) easily handle large bags. Standard packages include a 20kg (44 lbs) checked bag allowance per person.
Absolutely. You can easily fly into Phuket first, enjoy the beaches and island tours, and then fly up to Chiang Mai for the culture and elephants before heading home. The flight operates daily in both directions.
You need two different sets of gear:
- For Chiang Mai: Modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees (required to enter temples like Doi Suthep), and sturdy walking shoes or sneakers for the jungle.
- For Phuket/Phi Phi: Swimwear, a quick-dry towel, water shoes (for rocky coral beaches), a waterproof bag (dry bag) for your phone/camera, and plenty of reef-safe sunscreen.
Yes. The itinerary uses strictly no-riding, ethical sanctuaries. You will not see chairs strapped to elephants, hooks, or performances. The day is focused on observing them, feeding them, and helping them bathe in the river or mud.
The waters in the Andaman Sea are usually calm during the peak season (Nov–Feb), but speedboats can still bounce over waves. Tour operators provide free motion sickness pills (Pro military-grade Dramamine) at the pier before boarding. If you are highly prone to motion sickness, consider upgrading to a larger catamaran or big boat, which cuts through the waves much more smoothly.
- Best Time (November to February): Beautiful, dry, and cooler weather in Chiang Mai, and calm, clear blue seas in Phuket. This is peak season.
- Shoulder Season (March to May): Very hot. Chiang Mai can experience a "smoky season" due to agricultural burning, though Phuket remains great for beaches.
- Monsoon Season (June to October): Heavy afternoon rains. While rain in Chiang Mai is manageable, waves in the south can get rough, occasionally causing speedboat tours to Phi Phi to be delayed or altered for safety.
